About Physics Dept, SSNCE

The Department of Physics was established in 1996. The Department established the Centre for Crystal Growth in 2005, t he Optical Network lab in 2006, the Luminescence Research lab in 2013, the Functional Materials lab in 2015 and the Centre for Radiation, Environmental Science and Technology in 2015 for conducting active research. The faculty members of the department have executed several projects from DST, SERB, DAE-BRNS, CSIR, MNRE, NRB and UGC-DAE-CSR. More than 60 full-time research scholars are pursuing their doctorate degree with Anna University registration.
